Our toddler and preschool programs support social-emotional development, language, early literacy, foundational math, creativity, physical development, independence, and problem-solving. Children explore these skills through stories, art, sensory experiences, building, dramatic play, science, music, movement, and meaningful outdoor learning.
Our teachers combine the Experience Curriculum with children’s interests and developmental needs to create engaging learning experiences throughout the year.
Each day offers a thoughtful balance of learning, movement, relationships, outdoor exploration, meals, and rest.
Children begin with a warm welcome and time to explore before gathering for stories, songs, and conversation. Throughout the day, they participate in small-group learning, creative and sensory experiences, building, science, dramatic play, and outdoor activities.
Lunch, self-help routines, rest or quiet time, and afternoon learning experiences give children the comforting rhythm they need while allowing each classroom to follow developmentally appropriate routines.
Our tuition reflects the quality of care, experienced educators, low teacher-to-child ratios, enriching curriculum, and exceptional outdoor experiences provided throughout each child’s day.
Weekly rates vary by classroom placement. A registration fee and two-week tuition deposit are required to secure enrollment. Families may provide lunch from home or join our optional hot-lunch program.

We also share curriculum highlights, lunch menus, newsletters, reminders, and upcoming events—helping families remain informed and connected to their child’s experience.
Shiny Little Stars is licensed by the Connecticut Office of Early Childhood, and our staff are trained in CPR, First Aid, and mandated reporting.
Secure building access, controlled visitor entry, active supervision, emergency drills, playground inspections, and careful health and allergy procedures help us maintain a safe, dependable childcare environment.
